About me

I hold a postgraduate diploma in Counselling Psychology from Keele University. I gained experience as a Counsellor firstly as a counsellor, on a rehabilitation programme where I worked for five years, giving me broad experience of a number of issues related to the problems associated with the field of addiction.

I then trained and worked for a year as a volunteer Counsellor for a local Bereavement and Loss service.

Up until 2013 I worked for a charity specialising in physical, psychological and sexual abuse as a Counsellor and group facilitator.

From 2013 to date I have run a private practice, initially in Staffordshire and now from my home in Northamptonshire.

My theoretical orientation is person centred . I am a member of the British Association Of Counselling and Psychotherapy  (BACP) and adhere to their ethical guidelines. I am also registered with the UK register for Counselling and Psychotherapy (UKRCP)

Code of Ethics:  As a member of the British Association for Counselling, I adhere to the Code of Ethics and Practice for Counsellors, and am subject to their Complaints Procedure, my work is supervised in accordance with B.A.C.P
